When and how must my device be commissioned?

In order for your device to work safely and flawlessly, it must be correctly commissioned in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. The initial setup ensures that all functions operate optimally and that the safety standards are observed. Only specially trained technicians should carry out the commissioning of medical devices.

Commissioning service

For a trouble-free initial setup, we offer a commissioning service at a fixed price. Our technicians take care of the professional installation and configuration of your device directly on site at your premises. The service covers most of Austria. Should your location be in a hard-to-reach area, we will inform you in advance about possible additional costs. You can ask at any time whether your location is affected.

Information on on-site commissioning with a fixed water connection:
To enable our service team to carry out the on-site commissioning of your autoclave smoothly, we kindly ask you to ensure the following requirements:

• Fixed water connection with AQUAdem 40 – water treatment system:
  • Maximum 3 metres distance to the water source and the drain
  • Existing threads on site:
    • Ball outlet valve ¾‘‘ external thread or
    • Sink fitting (strainer connection) with M24x1 internal thread
• Fixed water connection with DI water line:
  • If the autoclave is to be connected directly to a DI water line, a 6 mm (outer diameter) polyurethane PUR hose (food-safe and hydrolysis-resistant) must be available so that the installation can be carried out.

How does the commissioning work?

After booking our commissioning service, an employee from CertoClav will contact you to clarify all the details. Of course, you can also reach us in advance by telephone or via our contact form. Together with you, we plan the deployment of our technicians, who are already equipped with all the necessary components.

We will coordinate the following information with you in advance:

• Contact and address details of your practice
• Serial number of your device
• Preferred date for the commissioning

With our service, you ensure that your device is optimally configured and is immediately ready for operation.

Practices and clinics are obliged to have their autoclave validated for the purpose of instrument reprocessing. The basis for the obligation to validate during instrument reprocessing is § 8 of the German Medical Devices Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV): The validation is carried out on site every 24 months in accordance with the national standard DIN SPEC 58929.
You can order the initial validation in our shop (all-inclusive package price).
Please note that the autoclave must be revalidated every 2 years.

Tip: Conclude a validation contract with us. We will take care that your autoclave is always revalidated and remains ready for use. When you conclude a validation contract, you also receive a price advantage of EUR 40 per revalidation due to better plannability of the on-site validation.

How is the validation deployment planned?
Directly after ordering a maintenance package, an employee from CertoClav will contact you by e-mail to clarify all the details with you. Of course, you also have the option to reach us in advance at any time by telephone or via the contact form. Together with you, the validation order is discussed and planned.

When must my device be serviced?
For safe practice operation, your device must be serviced regularly. Depending on the number of cycles or the age of the device, the electrical components of the device and the safety-relevant parts are checked in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and replaced if necessary. Only technicians specially trained for this device can carry out the maintenance of medical devices.

Maintenance flat rate
An annual maintenance of your CertoClav devices enables you to avoid short-notice service deployments. We offer you a maintenance flat rate at a fixed price. With our maintenance flat rate, we cover most of Austria. Only for very remote areas do we have to charge an additional fee. You can ask us at any time before or after ordering whether you are located in one of these areas. In this case, we will make you a separate offer. If you have already ordered the item, you can also cancel the item free of charge. If our technicians are not in your vicinity, we forward your request to one of our numerous trained service partners. After booking the maintenance flat rate, we carry out a maintenance of your Class B autoclave or AquaPlus thermal disinfector. Spare parts are invoiced separately.

How is the maintenance deployment planned?

Our service technicians will be equipped with the appropriate components for the maintenance before they arrive at your premises. We will request the following information from you in advance:

3. Your preferred date
