- ÖNORM EN ISO 15883: basic requirements for WDs for medical devices.
- ÖGSV Guideline No. 03: practice-oriented validation of cleaning/disinfection processes.
- Qualified device & trained staff as a prerequisite for every validation.
- Regular revalidation to maintain the validated condition.
Technically sound: Thermal disinfection typically takes place at 90–95 °C. For the safe reprocessing of surgical instruments, an A₀ value of 3000 (equivalent to 90 °C for 5 minutes) is the benchmark.

Safety- and wear-relevant components are checked in the same appointment in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications — less downtime.
